So last week was the St. Patrick’s celebration which made many Malaysian, Irish. We have troubles in Sabah but like all Malaysians, Sabah doesn’t exist and we just don’t know what state holidays they have; but we know about this day filled with drinking.
Twin salutations to all of you who is reading this right now or maybe later, Lyle was one of the few who was given an opportunity to enjoy a pub crawl and a free ride from Souled Out, Hartamas to Changkat Bukit Bintang and back again. With no qualms about saying how much he loves the ruby red brew, he arrived naturally early. Then again, Lyle is natural in being early, so this was nothing at all.
First person he met was Prem of Fly FM, followed by Jeremy of Red FM and some familiar faces during the media launch. Since the bus ride was in an hour plus, Lyle had roughly 1.5 pints of Guinness. It rained somewhere in between and for this very reason, our emcees were stuck at the garden section of Souled Out.
About twenty minutes before departure, we were treated to Kuah Jenhan, a stand-up comedian. As unbrutal as we try to be, his joke set for this night was bad and did not fit the crowd. He is fortunate that some people laughed.
Not going to talk about the bus ride to Changkat Bukit Bintang, except that for the entire journey to and from there; we had police escorts who stopped traffic. Best ride ever.
Came down from the bus and boom de yada. Malaysian people who thinks they are Irish. With enough drinks and slurring, Lyle is positive that everyone of us who was there at Changkat would have speaken perfect Irish Manglish to say the least.
Definitely a good time as we drank and the jazz. With everything all over and with the pub crawlers back in Souled Out, what did Lyle do? Drink with the emcess and talk advanced cock and shit. Lyle and the rest left around 1am.
