Arrival to Down Under

Not sure how long the trip was from Singapore to Australia, but when we arrive it was around 1100hrs Sydney time. The air that entered his lungs was magnificent. Summer time is a good time. Nice heat, less humid than Malaysia. Serge’s sister is the direct opposite of him, just cannot stand the heat and love the cold.
While Serge has the innate and insane ability to love the heat. Loving the heat that might cause skin cancer, but hey ! We only live once so let us get on with it. Took a cab from the airport to our cousin’s place. The cab driver was an idiot, an idiot Chinese. Sorry, even though Serge is Chinese with a pseudo-ethnicity of being German+Indian+Malay; that guy was a fool.

Dumping our luggage at our cousin’s place, we chit-chatted before heading out to Circular Quay. Unlike normal tourist who will go to the Sydney Opera House, we did the opposite and looked for some awesome food. You can take the glutton out of glutton square but you cannot take the gluttony out of the glutton.
We went to this hotel called The Lord Nelson’s and mind you, that 99% of all hotel’s in Sydney are actually drinking taverns. So yeah, the first meal for Serge and family is beer, liquid gold is delicious.
From the liquid gold and Lord Nelson, we headed to the city-center and entered this club of sorts called the Establishment for another round of beer. Here Serge met with his brother’s uni mate and spouse. A few drinks later we headed off to was called Belgian Beer Cafe and here Serge had some Roo meat. Tasty ! Serge’s siblings and friends had clams as that place was famous for clams.
After the meal, we left and headed home and rested. Next up we talk about the Opera House, Botanical Garden and the Red Light District.
