In Boxes of Fu Lu Shou
Entering the fourth day of the new year, the typical Malaysians that we are have bombarded the shopping malls and many other places with the blaring of very commercialized Chinese New Year songs. Yes sirree! One month plus before the actual day, we just want to let everyone know about the upcoming festivities.
For Lyle, he still prefers if the announcement was made two weeks before it actually occurs. Kind of annoying to hear all these chinesey songs at places that Lyle frequents. This comment which we made here implies to other festivities such as Eid Fitr, Diwali, Christmas and so forth.
Anyway at the GAB Tavern, Lyle was there attending a media launch gambit by GAB. They promoted their beer line of Guinness, Anchor and Tiger for the upcoming Chinese New Year. Celebration of Good Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity is the campaign name where GAB will be promoting their Guinness, Anchor and Tiger during the festive Chinese New Year season.
Consumers of these beer stands a chance to win a solid gold Fu Lu Shou set worth RM 10,000 (9 in total) or a gold plated version worth RM 1,000 (999 in total). Food was good and nothing much really for the night officially, but to those who was with Lyle, we laughed at the end about a shiny headed guy and a possible cat.
Definitely need to get back the groove of writing on this weblog.
