Buy4Love – Indeed We did Buy For Love
Hey All! And to everyone who drop by to Chic Pop Street Market 9 that was recently held at Jaya One; thank you for coming and giving your support. For those who came and supported the Buy4Love Jumble Sale, thank you, thank you, thank you!
The name is Serge Norguard and as one of the ambassadors to the Don’t Duck It campaign, it was great to see all of you who came to participate in the Buy4Love jumble sale and in the whole Chic Pop Street Market event. Many faces from all walks of life came to the market and many items were being sold, from clothing to handbags to shoes and even food!
If Serge wasn’t mesmerized by the sheer tenacity of the crowd who looked, bargained and bought nearly-all the items that were being sold; he would have gone a mad shopping spree and raked up the greatest diet his wallet would had ever seen. For those who missed the event, it truly was awesome and Serge recommends that you do go for it when the next Chic Pop Street Market occurs.

Though the market started at 10am, he was only there from 2pm onwards. Let’s just say that a pillow,bed and blanket was involved and the bed won the fight. Sad but true story; the traffic to Jaya One was lovely, though using the back roads might be the reason for good traffic =D . With the car parked and walking up the stairs to where the event was held, Serge was hoodwinked with the organized chaos.
Before going about to see the sites and sounds, Serge went off to locate the other Duck’s. While this was happening, Joanne appeared and surprised Serge. Apparently she was at The Bee and saw a white fedora hat amongst the heads that was busy shopping; and she knew it was Serge. Seriously, is that hat so recognizable? Just to make sure, Serge mention other people might have the same and in her reply she said “Yes! He has one like yours but he is too short.. so I knew it was you.”
What a great way to start and away did Serge go, leaving infolets on nearly every stall there was. This infolets contained information on how to do a breast examination and the other side was information about cervical cancer. While sales were going on all over Jaya One, some of the staff of Assunta Hospital were there to give medical check up to those that were there. What an awesome bunch as some of them even gave a talk too.

Besides Joanne and Spinzer, Serge met up with Jenkin, Xue Ren, Shannon, Su Ling, Esther, the people of Dovey Lovey and many others.
At the end of it all, a chilli rush occurred and the lips of Serge looked as though he kissed a fire ant. The only complain that Serge has for the entire event was that the stalls under the tent should have been spread wider and just only confined to the front area only. Also it was damn sad to see some stalls that were all on their own like a lonely island. All in all a good event with a few misses but plenty of hits !
