Music Brought Us Together for Alda Evan Tan
Last Sunday, Serge rock out and nearly died at Publika. He was there to assist Team Alda in photographing their Come Together fund-raiser event. He spent close to 12 hours moving between three activity zones and even though he crashed and burn upon his return to the kingdom; the pleasure of helping out is just tremendous.
For those who does not know, the fund-raiser was to gather loot to pay Alda’s medical bill as the man is still in a coma and the bill is running. Alda, we are not sure if you’ll read this… We want you to wake up man!
Before arriving at Publika, Serge became a holy person and attended church. Arrival at Publika was around 11am, due to Serge taking the wrong turn! Somehow, his navigational skill changes according to where the sun is.
Met up with the crew and prepared the table for ticket and miscellaneous items to be sold. Later around 2pm, open mic session began and the music began. This section was filled with acoustic beats and performances from Malaysian Youtubers.
Somewhere around 3pm, our Loud Music set rolled off at Black Box. In this particular area, established acts such as Rosevelt, An Honest Mistake, Dragon Red and others performed. During the first few hours until about 7pm, Black Box was rather bare. It was expected as it was Mother’s Day and even music loving rockers do love their mommies!
Besides acoustic and heavy music, there was a mini bazaar where food and clothes were being sold. The crowd in the open area began to grow somewhere around 4pm.
Love the crowd who contributed to the event and the kids who were doing a hip-hop dance. At about 9pm, songs from the musical and a session on sing song with no talk cock occurred at The Bee.
No matter what happens, no matter how deep the hole is; Serge can see how much love is spread at this event. Truly, so truly indeed when some person mention that Music Bring Everyone Together
To Team Alda, many thanks for having Serge and to all who came to support this fund-raiser; thank you, thank you, thank you!
