Pet Project Malaysia 2013

Sabrina Saw organized The Pet Project Malaysia which began in 2012. Now in 2013 and in its second season, The British International School Kuala Lumpur (BSKL) became the host; for the second year.

Even though this year it was just 9 hours instead of last years previous 12, the crowd came and supported the cause. Pet Project Malaysia is a one day event where you be fit and active with sports, yoga, dance, sports activities and etc; all to raise funds for animal welfare NGOs across Malaysia.

Though Lyle left early as he had another event to attend, one of the volunteers mentioned that the number of attendees at around 1pm hit the 1200 mark. Wow! 1200 people since Pet Project Malaysia 2013 open its doors at 9am. If our hands were not busy clicking the shutter button of our camera, we will be clapping madly too.

By the way, Lyle was one of the photographers for the event and he is grateful to Sabrina Saw for letting him cover the whole event. No words can express his gratitude for this opportunity.

Basketball clinics, Yoga, Bodyjam, Dance classes and others were held at the gym. These were masterclasses where attendees needed to pay via coupons to take part. The top floor they had rugby and even golf training, also a few stalls selling stuffs.

Unfortunately due to the hot weather, not many people came up to this area to visit. Which was really sad and Lyle prefer last year where there were more stalls at this particular floor.

On the second floor which was the main entrance, were the Cat Lovers Club, SPCA and the memorabilia booth. The cats were fluffy and who ever has asthma and went into the room where our feline furkids were; will trigger the greatest asthma attack known to mankind.

The SPCA brought some kittens and puppies for people to adopt. One family took back all three kitten (we think). Who ever you are, thank you so much. If we are not mistaken, there were four puppies but we can not remember if anyone adopted them. But Lyle feels like they did.

The Malaysia Independent Animal Rescue, came along with their dogs. These dogs once had a terrible life due to their cruel masters. Although you could see the extend of the damage, none of the dogs were hostile to the children and adults that were there. Do you know what this means ?

It means that even after all the pain and suffering, they are willing to forgive our transgression. Sometimes Lyle wish that as humans we could do the same. Until that time comes, we can only hope.

There are so many things that Lyle wants to talk about like the performance by BSKL, Chiqaz, Ning Baizura and more but, he can’t as he is lost for words at the dedication each and everyone who took part.
