Roxy Model Search 2011
And so the day ended for Serge with the Roxy Model Search 2011. This event was brought to you obviously by the people of Roxy and many thanks to Mabel for the invite and she was one out of the 17 models present for this particular event. These models ranging from the age of 15 to 21 and from nearly all walks of life.
Roxy Model Search 2011 is the first chapter led by the Roxy Malaysia team. The search to find one girl, that one lady who will be the Roxy Girl that is confident, daring, fun and naturally beautiful. With the help of Amber Chia Academy the 17 girls was trained to catwalk by catwalk guru Benjamin Toong.
After 3 months of searching and training, these girls came together for one final strut on the catwalk at Sunway Lagoon to be Roxy’s model for 2011.

As always Serge was there early and by the gods, it was raining and he got lightly wet. But all is cool when a voice spoke; turning around 180 degrees, Serge look forward and by the blinding light that was cause by a shiny headed bugger known as Liang. Funny situation actually, for when he finished speaking; Liang look towards the direction of Serge and this was probably about 100m away.
Boom goes the remix as both of them chatted up on good times and all that jazz that follows. The event was to start at 2.30pm but a slight delay and it began late, fortunately the weather was good enough to toast the neck of Serge and the delay which was minimal, made the day. While all of this was happening, a beautiful and cute girl appeared. Her name, Natalie appeared.

Like all model searches, part one is strutting on the catwalk to show to the judges that confidence is in them. For the second part was the question and answer. Now this part was hilarious in the humble opinion of Serge, for one of the models answered the question in a form of a speech. A speech, the one where you start with Good Afternoon panel of judges, etc; that kind.
Questions finish and Serge went behind the backdrop to rest, the judge deliberated to name the top 6 and who will be the Roxy Model of 2011. While they counted, a luck draw occurred. The items being given out includes a watch from Roxy, SkullCandy Headphones, a make-up course at Amber Chia Academy, a stay at Hard Rock in Penang and many worthy prizes.

Lucky draw done and gift packs given, it was time to announce the top 6 models and that one lady who will be crown the Roxy Model for 2011. The crowd went while as the last 3 were called up. Then it was the top 3, you could see the excitement in their eyes. Liang then announce the 3rd place and then the second.
The winner of the Roxy Model Search 2011 was Cheryll Ho an 18 year old student who scuba dives and is currently studying at ICOM majoring in Piano and is an aspiring actress too! Congratulations to Cheryll Ho for winning and to everyone else who did not make it to the top 6, do not worry, you made it this far so be proud of yourself.
