Simple Plan in KL by Sabrina

Simple Plan KL Live

The following is a post by Serge’s guest writer Sabrina who managed to catch Simple Plan live in KL thanks to Tune Talk. This is an account of what happen that night as Serge was attending a wedding. Not his wedding.

To Sabrina, we here at Dustyhawk :: Broken Mirror , thanks you for your contribution.

There I was, just arrived at the venue exactly 7pm sharp after my work and it was of course mad crowded at the queue and then I thought ‘ohhh, so what now?’ RIGHT. I need to collect my media pass to get in of course.

So I started searching for a clue and saw the Tune Talk booth and said ‘I’m here to collect my media pass.’ Then the person told me to go to the entrance to collect it where there’s a paper notifying it ‘media’ and so when I try to get in to the entrance the bodyguard told me that I had to have a pass to get in.

My mind started to get crazy, thinking……… but that guy told me to come here! This is what I hate most about concert, the trouble getting in. So, there came a really nice girl questioning me who am I under and all. So basically, I was replacing a friend of mine who is an amazing blogger to attend the concert and I have well……zero contacts except for my friend and another number that he gave me but it was engage when I called the number.

Hmm, helpful much? I called my friend a couple of times to find ways to get the media pass and so it seems that they ran out of media pass, wow great! But eventually, thank god for this I got in and they gave me a ‘Guest’ pass haha! Good enough!

“SIMPLE PLAN! SIMPLE PLAN! SIMPLE PLAN! SIMPLE PLAN!” the fans shouted. The crowd was really hyped out since we waited for like goddamn an hour! I was superbly hungry by the time it was 8.30 I think, which the flyer stated that it’s the starting time.

Well, you know Malaysians… delaying is our best motto to keep the fans even more hyped! RIGHT? (totally insulting) While still waiting and best not to keep thinking about a so-good TGI Friday’s sandwich or a gigantic burger with fries!!! (YAY FOR FOODD)

ANYWAY I started to scan the atmosphere around me and the people just look like foooooooddddd to me! Haha, nah im just kidding. No, im serious. ANYWAYYY, the atmosphere was pretty good I can see flies around and whao I got bitten by a mosquito! SHOO MOSQUITO SHOO! Haha, and no there was no flies but yes for mosquito but yea with my specs on I can see girls cam-whoring in the crowd, a couple standing cuddling with each other awhhhh (me=#foreveralone) sad life I have and a guy drinking a cup of Guinness to kill boredom and ready to get high I guess! And the others were just so patiently waiting for Simple Plan to appear!

Suddenly I heard two guy’s voice coming from the speakers! Its Jinn and the other hitz.fm DJ which I don’t know his name! BUT SAY WHUT HE’S HAWT! Well its bout time to get the party started! So the concert started of with an local artist which name I don’t remember too! Sorry bad memory :S Yikezz. OH! What I can remember was the first song they sang was Rolling In The Deep by Adele and hell yea it was good! And then a few songs of their own.

It took another half an hour right after the local artist ended their performance to Simple Plan’s appearance! It was a good wait, as everybody got really pumped up by that time! And BOOM! Pierre appeared on the stage, as usual fans started to scream non-stop and cheering and you know all the concert-crowd would do stuff haha.

AND HELL YEA, Pierre WAS SUPER HAWT! Like seriously, he melted me! Seeing him with my pure eyes it’s so different from seeing him like on album covers and posters. And here goes, they started by singing “Shut up!” which was really a super good first song choice to get us started with the party!

They sang a few songs from their latest album called, “Get Your Heart On!” and yes of course they sang “Jet Lag”, “Astronaut” and a few more which I can’t remember. Their famous hits “ Your Love Is Just A Lie” , “When I’m Gone”, “I’m Just A Kid” and yea a few more others! Their closing song was “Perfect” which was one of my favorite!

To round it off, IT WAS AWESOMEEEEE!!! Simple Plan had been around for quite a long while and I started listening to em since I was in Primary School! Guess what, they still have it in them, STILL HOTT AND YOUNG AND TOTALLY KILLED THE CROWD! And Pierre’s voice was super genuine like seriously! What I can say is, it was really good and didn’t regret it.

Well, I wanna thank all of this to Serge for the pass if it wasn’t for him I would not have a chance to experience it! *hugs*
