We recently did a quick post of saying farewell to Little Goh. Sheryl Goh is the Little Goh who will be flying off to Doctor Who land soonish and with her departure the group known as An Honest Mistake is now somewhat vocalist-less.
Celebrating her departure, the band organize an acoustic night out at Laundry Bar, E-Curve. Obviously Serge was there to support this group whom he has known since their first album launch. Throughout the years of knowing the leadman Darren and the band; we have seen members leaving to form their own band and new people joining.
When it comes to performing arts, whether it is for stage play, busking or even people on a stage for a concert; Serge has always been a big and major morale supporter of the movement. Morale supporter as he does not have the capacity to help financially, yet he’ll do what he can to ensure that everyone knows about the importance of performing arts.
Yesterday was the official launch of An Honest Mistake‘s second album entitled “Say What You Want, Say What You Will” at Publika. Serge was there from around 1400hrs till about 2300hrs (though the actual event ended at 1900hrs). He after all said and done was as tired as a person who did the marathon twice with no stopping at all.
Besides being really tired, with the hot sun blazing out; we are certain that Serge is tanned though he has yet to look in the mirror today to see how dark he has become. Anyway, this is an account of what had happened yesterday and do note that this is going to take a while to load due to the amount of images and videos.
As you all know An Honest Mistake will be having their second album launch at The Square @ Publika and we here at Dustyhawk :: Broken Mirror , invites you to their Say What You Want, Say What You Will album showcase on the 29th of April,2012.
Not only can you rock out with the band, there will be a bazaar as well as performances from aspiring artiste such as Darren Ashley, Hello, Is This The Band?, and others from 2PM onwards. Make a date with your love ones, your furkids and just about anyone to come watch An Honest Mistake perform.
Postings on this site has totally gone out of order, was suppose to talk about a Mickey tribute and now Serge is posting about a small outing he had with An Honest Mistake at Banana Leaf @ Centre Point ; where 30 odd friends gathered to watch the premiere of their latest music video from their upcoming album.
After winning a music grant, An Honest Mistake invited friends and fans to be in their latest music video that will be out on Astro Hitz.TV , November 28th. The video in question is from their latest single “If I Told You This Was Real Would You Believe Me” and as a supporter of all things artsy fartsy, Serge went over and was given an exclusive behind the scenes look of the whole deal.
Of course knowing the manager-cum-significant other to the lead vocal has its perks and downside. For it was probably during 24 hours before actual recording that the significant other ask Serge if he was coming and after saying yes; the other party mention a time. Therefore being the man of his word, Serge went there at that time but earlier.
So early in the morning for those who follows Serge on twitter, he was in Klang for breakfast before being dump by his sibling at Taylor’s Lakeside for a little LipDub session with An Honest Mistake and a bunch of Taylorians.
One thing is for certain, these bunch of college / university going students have a lot of spunk and energy as they filmed their LipDub video from around 0900hrs+ to about 1700hrs+. Could it be the caffeine rush from the Starbucks nearby or could it be the adrenaline rush that comes for being young and carefree? What ever the ingredient, Serge salutes all who took part in the LipDub.
If I Told You This Was Real, Would You Believe Me is the latest single from An Honest Mistake. After the jump is the lyrics and it is not proper as Serge was using his latent skill and basically looping the song.
And though he knows nearly all the members, he is diligently stubborn not to ask them for the lyrics
